FESTiVAL VENUES

1. Redruth Community Centre

Home to our ceilidhs, dance workshops and Saturday Craft Market, Redruth Community Centre has a large hall with plenty of space for dancing, alongside smaller rooms used throughout the festival. The Murdoch Bar, nestled at the back of the centre, is the perfect spot for a session or a shout over the weekend.

There will be a fully stocked bar, with all profits going to support the festival.

2. Redruth Wesley Chapel

Home to our main concert programme over the festival, Redruth Wesley welcomes an incredible line-up of musicians from Cornwall and across the Celtic nations. From Thursday’s Anna Anise album launch through to concerts with Michael McGoldrick & Tim Edey, Mari Mathias and more, it’s the place to settle in and enjoy some truly special live music.

On Sunday, the programme continues with a music talk and performance of The Lost Voices of the Moor with Mike O’Connor and Barbara Griggs.

3. the buttermarket

A lively festival hub in the heart of Redruth, the Buttermarket hosts free events throughout the weekend. Drop in for music, dance, sessions, or join us on Saturday when the courtyard comes alive with performances, wrestling displays and a family ceilidh.


The Market Hall will also be home to our Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo on Saturday.

4. the ladder

A space for learning, sharing and conversation, The Ladder hosts workshops and cultural events throughout Saturday. From music workshops with Michael McGoldrick and Tim Edey to poetry, literature and Celtic languages, it’s a place to explore the music, language and culture at the heart of Lowender.

5. st andrews church

A short walk from the heart of the festival, St Andrew’s Church is home to The Crypt, where Kevin & Carol Monaghan will be putting dancers through their paces at Saturday’s Irish Set Dance Workshop. An atmospheric space and a change of scene for an afternoon of dancing.
