This October, Lors Landat and Thomas Moisson bring the music and dance of Brittany to Lowender in Redruth.
Regulars on the Breton dance scene may already know Duo Landat Moisson from festivals and Fest Noz across Brittany and beyond. Together for more than 15 years, they’ve performed hundreds of concerts, including at Festival Interceltique de Lorient.

Duo Landat Moisson & Neear Nesañ
Saturday 17 October | 2pm | Redruth Wesley
The Saturday afternoon concert is a chance to hear Lors Landat and Thomas Moisson in two very different settings.
As Duo Landat Moisson, Lors’s powerful Breton vocals meet Thomas’s accordion in a partnership honed over more than 15 years and hundreds of performances together. Firmly rooted in Breton traditional music and the Fest Noz scene, theirs is music shaped by years of playing for dancers and audiences across Brittany and far beyond.
Then the musical conversation widens with Neear Nesañ, bringing Lors and Thomas together with Manx musicians David Kilgallon and Adam Rhodes. Breton and Manx traditions meet in a genuinely interceltic collaboration, exploring the connections between two musical cultures while bringing something new to both.
Completing the afternoon are The Twin Tides, making this a concert that travels across Celtic traditions while keeping Brittany firmly at its heart.
Saturday 17 October | 5pm – 6:30pm | Redruth Community Centre
Whether Breton dancing is already familiar territory or you’d like to add a few more dances to your repertoire, our Saturday afternoon workshop is the perfect warm-up for the evening’s Fest Noz.
Breton dancing is wonderfully social, and many of the dances are danced in lines, circles or chains, so there’s no need to come with a partner. Come on your own or with friends, enjoy an afternoon of dancing, then put it all into practice at the Fest Noz later that evening.
Saturday 17 October | 9pm | Redruth Community Centre
After the afternoon concert and Breton Dance Workshop, Saturday night brings Duo Landat Moisson to the dance floor for Lowender’s Fest Noz.
Lors Landat’s powerful vocals and Thomas Moisson’s accordion have filled dance floors across Brittany and beyond. With more than 15 years playing together and hundreds of performances behind them, this is a rare chance to dance to one of Brittany’s established Fest Noz duos right here in Cornwall.
Come for the Breton music and dancing, then discover what else Lowender has to offer. Across Redruth you’ll find four days of live music, dancing, workshops, sessions and performances celebrating Celtic traditions from Cornwall and beyond.
